Shumking Mansion are a four-piece Indie band which play an intense blend of upbeat dance rock and synth pop – all with a psychedelic energy. Described as “one of the most mesmeric new acts on Hong Kong circuit” they are a live band who engage crowds and project their intense sets with imagination and energy.

Summer Of Music: “Shumking Mansion – previously described as a “drunken tour group on holiday in Ibiza” – have evolved from beach bar boogie-makers to one of the most mesmeric new acts on the HK circuit… Devo without the pop discipline; Nirvana without the overdriven guitar – they’re pushing the boundaries of music without pushing the decibels, and having a hell of a good time with it.”

Meet the HKFP team and see our office at the Hive Spring in the heart of Wong Chuk Hang. The Hive is supporting local non-profits, artists, musicians, filmmakers and writers at its beautiful former gallery space.

HKFP is grateful for the generous support of the following event sponsors:

Young Master Brewery opened its doors in December 2013 and kick-started the craft-brewing movement in Hong Kong. Right from inception, our mission has been to make truly distinctive beers with world-class quality standards with no pandering to lowest common denominator flavor profiles. We are Hong Kong’s largest, highest rated, and most awarded craft brewery producing a wide range of exciting craft beers. Our beer list has always featured both classic styles like a well-balanced pale ale, avant-garde beers like a foeder aged mixed culture forest berry sour ale, ones that draw inspiration from flavors of Hong Kong, like a tart and saline Cha Chaan Teng Gose brewed with local salted lime and others that are especially designed for the seasons.

Wine’n’things was founded in 1993 and focuses on importing new world wines from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the United States and Chile. Recently we have been building our craft beer and spirit range to caterer to a broader demographic and growing trends. We host a range of events to engage our customers with the goal of creating memorable experiences through the use of wine, food and brand personalities.

The Hive Spring is the newest addition to the wide network of the Hive Coworking spaces. The space in the heart of Wong Chuk Hang, was formerly occupied by Spring Workshop, a pioneer in Wong Chuk Hang’s art development. The Hive Spring aims to continue Spring Workshop’s legacy by supporting local artists, musicians, filmmakers and writers. It is also the base for the Hong Kong Free Press team.
