A 74-year old man has been killed in a traffic accident in Sheung Shui on Friday morning.
Police said that at 9:45am, a car driven by a 21 year-old driver knocked out the 74-year-old man while he was crossing the road. The incident happened near Ching Ho Estate on Ching Hiu Road.
The man sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead an hour later at the hospital.
According to an Apple Daily report, the driver holds a probationary driver’s license, meaning that he passed his driving test less than one year ago.
The driver has been arrested for “dangerous driving causing death” and the case is being investigated.
