Both protesters and revellers gathered in Central on Thursday to mark Halloween. Riot police held cordons around much of the Lan Kwai Fong entertainment district throughout the evening, whilst some people donned satirical party masks and chanted protest slogans. The night ended as officers deployed tear gas and pepper spray near Pedder Street. HKFP captured shots of some of the costumes spotted on the frontlines.
