Workshop #1 – We The People

We The People is a global movement of citizens working to give over 4.6 billion people a voice. Our mission is to give people the power to step up and speak out, without having to be afraid to do what is right. This 60-minute design thinking workshop will introduce their proposed blockchain platform. Participants will be able to explore the themes of safety, security and privacy online along with important considerations on human rights, civic engagement, and freedom. Additionally, the workshop will explore the relationship between online action and offline change.

During this intensive session, you will be introduced to user centred design principles at the research, ideation and idea synthesis stage of the design thinking process, We The People’s work, and the proposed applications of the platform. As individuals and in groups, participants will ideate, create, and test their ideas for our platform. Finally, we’ll end with a quick shared pro-typing experience.

Some of your ideas demonstrated at the event may go on to becoming part of our technical whitepaper that is scheduled to be published soon. Join us and understand how to apply human-centred design principles to create the future of advocacy.

Workshop #2 – Wise at Work

Topic: Imagining the future and the 100-year life for today’s millennials.

Wise at Work is a platform that is re-imagining the potential of a rapidly ageing world. Our mission is to help people stay resilient and drive social and financial inclusion as people age.

This 60 minute design thinking workshop will help millennials explore the future of work and imagine what their 100-year life would look like! Participants will be able to explore the themes of ageing, inclusion, technology, mindset and future of work along with important considerations on unconscious bias, resilience and continuous learning.

During this interactive session, we will use design thinking principles of insight generation, ideation, convergence and synthesis and prototyping to evaluate what the youth needs to start doing today in order to stay relevant event as they turn 60 and older. In groups, participants will be able to share and showcase their imagined and co-created future roadmaps.

Some of the ideas and insights shared may go on to be included in our research on age inclusion in Hong Kong that is scheduled to be published later this year.
