Carlin’s António Félix da Costa won the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix on Sunday for the second time.
He initially lost the lead position to teammate Sérgio Sette Câmara but benefitted from a safety car restart on the seventh lap and held the lead until his victory.
“I know I have said all week that to come away with a top five would be great and it would have been. But today, I had to do it,” da Costa said. “I am so happy that I did it, and I have to thank my team – because they gave me the car to do it. I am just a happy boy.”
Câmara came home in third place, ahead of Kenta Yamashita.
