Three Hong Kong photographers have been shortlisted for the 2016 Sony World Photography Awards, “the world’s biggest photography competition.”
Tugo Cheng was shortlisted for the travel category in the open competition. The other two, Wai Lam Cheng and Patrick Willocq were shortlisted for portraits in the youth competition and in the professional competition respectively.
The competition received a record 230,103 entries this year, a 33% increase from on 2015.
Winners will be announced on April 21, 2016 and an exhibition will be held at the Somerset House in London from April 22-May 8, 2016.
