Hong Kong’s Ocean Park has started selling tickets online for its new Water World attraction.

It is set to open in late September more than 20 years after the previous attraction closed.

Water World, touted as “Asia’s first and only year-round, all-weather seaside water park,” will feature 27 different rides in five separate zones for the whole family.

Attractions include nine water slides, ranging from child-friendly cascades of rainbow-coloured slides to sky-high thrill drop rides.

Ticket prices begin at HK$255 for the park, which will open on September 21.

The new water park is part of a government-led revamp of the whole of Ocean Park announced earlier this year.
In January, the government announced a HK$2 billion bailout plan for the park over the next four years, with new operations including public retail, dining and entertainment zones with performance facilities.
