A one-year-old boy in dire need of a liver transplant earlier this month has been discharged from intensive care and is recovering, his mother has told local media.
Hayson Au was discharged from intensive care at Queen Mary Hospital on Tuesday.

His mother had sent a city-wide plea for a live liver donor last week to save her child, after he was diagnosed with acute liver failure after catching a fever. The cause of the sudden illness is still unknown.
Over 10 people answered the mother’s request since then, but no suitable match was found.
