In his latest exhibition “BLINK852,” Minneapolis-born street photographer Michael Kistler captured fleeting moments in Hong Kong with his own style of abstraction, experimenting with mediums while ignoring the rules.

Having lived in Japan for 10 years and settled in Hong Kong with his family in 2014, Kistler developed a distinguished aesthetic style and taste for the city’s streets.

His frequent use of in-camera double exposures presents a unique take on Hong Kong.

Kistler’s work has been exhibited widely in New York, Astoria, Minneapolis, London, Dublin and Porto.

In a city filled with skyscrapers and reflective surfaces, vibrant colours are infinitely mirrored in glass and puddles.

BLINK 852 will be exhibited at Blue Lotus Gallery from November 12 to 28.
