Local production company Visual Suspect has released another fresh take on Hong Kong – this time, a tribute to the city from an insect’s all-encompassing point of view.

Dragonfly comes hot off the heels of two equally unique videos by the team – Allegory of the Cave in 2016, and last year’s Theory of Relativity.

“The film has been shot entirely with 360 8K camera,” the team told HKFP, though the clip is not a Virtual Reality video. “We used the 360 technique for crafting a surreal interpretation of our reality,” they said.

Visual Suspect said that filmmakers often leave important elements out of the frame, but – in today’s world – visuals are captured in ways which leave nothing out of sight.

Hong Wrong lives on at HKFP, offering a mix of news, mildly serious observation & irreverent claptrap chronicling the good, bad and ugly under the Fragrant Harbour’s fading lights.
