Emerging photographers across Hong Kong have entered the Affordable Art Fair’s “Discovery: Photography Prize” competition, held in association with Hotel Jen.

Nine finalists were chosen for the public’s appraisal at the fair, or on social media.

After more than 8,000 votes were cast, a final winner has been selected from the competition.

The winner – Tommy Fung – is a graphic designer and photographer.

Fung’s work “Flying Taxi” will be exhibited at three Hotel Jen properties in Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore.

In 2014, Fung was one of the finalists at the WYNG Masters Award on the theme of “AIR”.

In 2017, he began a project called “My Surreal Life in Hong Kong” to recreate surreal and funny situations using Photoshop, sharing them on Instagram and Facebook as @surrealhk.
