19-year-old urban photographer Samuel Chan began shooting in early 2016 and has since garnered over 15,000 Instagram followers.
His favourite scenes are the cityscapes of his hometown, Hong Kong, which he says is home to an array of complex architectural structures.
“I like discovering the urban environment, especially from above,” he told HKFP.
“[I] am bored with the usual routine. Most of us take the same route to work or school. But the fast steps do not allow us to discover more in our daily routine.”
Chan says he feels that Hongkongers have forgotten how their hometown looks like, and that this encourages him to capture the beauty of the city with his camera.
He enjoys shooting on Hong Kong Island, especially the skyscrapers in Wan Chai, Central and Causeway Bay.
