Hong Kong Free Press is a media sponsor for this Friday’s Green Sense 2017 Hong Kong No Air-con Night.
The territory-wide energy saving campaign seeks to promote the wise use of air-conditioning and raise awareness about the importance of reducing greenhouse gases.

Air-conditioning accounts for 60 per cent of all electricity use in Hong Kong between July and August. Over the course of a year, it accounts for 30 per cent of all electricity use city-wide.
Since 2010, over 80,000 households joined in and turned off their air conditioning.
All Hongkongers are invited to switch off their air-cons this Friday, September 29 – from 7pm to 7am the next day.

A moon-gazing launch event will be held this Friday at 6:30pm at the Central & Western District Promenade, Central Section (near Tamar Park).
