Hongkongers of all ages, and from all walks of life, gathered in Central on Saturday to beat each other silly with soft bedding.
A unicorn, Spiderman, four Pikachus and a giant minion were present at the 7th International Pillow Fight Day.
The  non-commercial, nonsensical, totally-frivolous, ferocious feathery frenzy is held on the first Saturday of April each year. For no reason.
The “friendliest fight you’ve ever been in” is also held in hundreds of other cities around the world.
For Hongkongers, it is a chance to let off some steam, to dress in fun costumes and beat strangers around the head within the relatively safe confines of Chater Garden.
