A worker was rushed to the hospital.

A worker was cited as saying that the accident took place offshore and the site could only be reached by boat. He said the workers who fell into the water wore safety belts attached to machines on the platform.

The Labour Department has deployed staff to investigate the incident.

Since construction started in 2011, several accidents took place at the project site. There have been eight fatal industrial accidents on the site over the last six years, according to Apple Daily.

Update 20:19: One of the missing workers was found around 7pm, but was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital. Another worker is still missing.
