Hong Kong artist Tik Ka From East presents a collection of Star Wars images rendered in the style of Chinese ink paintings.

“Hong Kong people which grew up in the British colonial era absorbed European, American, Japanese cultures – including comic books, movies and food culture – whilst, at the same time, having a traditional Chinese background,” he told HKFP. “I grew my foreign culture into the Chinese style, with this series.”

Tik Ka also included a more satirical – and possibly scarier – take on intergalactic villain Emperor Palpatine…

Tik Ka is currently exhibiting in Taiwan until the end of January. Click here for more details.
