Dozens of volunteers took to Hong Kong’s beaches and bays over the weekend to clean up trash that has built up in recent days.
At Discovery Bay, a trash filled beach was cleaned up after a day’s work.

Ma Wan also saw volunteers clearing up debris.

At Chung Hom Kok, trash was floating around swimming areas while volunteers tried to clear up the waste.

Volunteers at Big Wave Bay also collected bags of trash.

However, at Stanley Beach, volunteers cleaned up the beach on Sunday only to see trash repopulate the area on Monday.

Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying was at Shui Hau Wan, Lantau island cleaning up on Sunday.

However, a Facebook user, Loy Ho, was dissatisfied that trash was still at left around nearby mangroves.
