Online shopping was not affected.

A staff member at PARKnSHOP’s hotline told HKFP that the glitch happened as the stores’ computer system implemented a regular update of its discounted goods on Friday.

He said that some shops opened at 8am, but around 9am it was discovered that discounts and gifts could not be processed by the system.

He added the IT department of the company was fixing the problem and stores are expected to open at 3pm, although he said it was not certain.
