More than HK$150,000 worth of valuables were stolen from a house in Cyberport, Hong Kong Island on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers found a hole behind a safe measuring 15cm by 10cm in a house at Residence Bel-Air, police told HKFP. Both the safe and the kitchen door appeared to have been pried, police said.
Homeowner Ms. Wang, 38, reported the incident at around 4pm after she was unable to open the safe. She said she lost around HK$30,000 and RMB20,000 in cash, two pairs of earrings worth about HK$40,000 as well as two necklaces worth about HK$60,000.
Police are investigating the case as burglary. No arrests have yet been made.
