The report claimed that the attacker and the victim were hawkers who had been fighting over the same site. The Oriental Daily said the attacker had no specific target.

Xinhua reported that a French man was also injured.

The same clothing store had been the centre of a scandal last month, when a video of a couple having sex in the fitting room went viral.
