A 10-year-old child was killed at a town square in Sichuan after a giant coin sculpture fell on him.
Mainland media reported that the accident happened in the afternoon of August 8.
The child was playing in the square when he was suddenly crushed by the giant art piece.
A Sichuan media quoted a resident as saying that the sculpture may have fallen as children repeatedly climbed up on to it.
Police are now investigating the cause of the incident.
